Sèche linge à évacuation
Le sèche-linge à évacuation est l’entrée de gamme, que l’on peut trouver à partir de 180€ hors promotion pour une capacité de 7 Kg. C’est le moins cher à l’achat, mais il nécessite de disposer d’une évacuation vers l’extérieure, ou d’une pièce bien ventilée.
Ces modèles nécessitent que la gaine (généralement fournie) puisse évacuer la vapeur d’eau vers l’extérieur (par une bouche d’aération, par la fenêtre, ou tout autre moyen). Si la pièce est vaste ou ventilée naturellement (sous-sol ouvert par exemple), il est possible de laisser la gaine d’évacuation à l’air libre.
La majorité des sèche-linge à évacuation sont en classe énergétique C, soit une consommation électrique annuelle d’environ 450 à 700Kwh/an, soit un peu moins d’une centaine d’euros par an.

Sèche linge à condensation
Le sèche-linge à condensation, vendu généralement à partir de 280€ hors promotion pour une capacité de 7 Kg, propose une technologie différente, ne nécessitant pas d’installation spécifique. C’est le plus simple à mettre en oeuvre et il peut fonctionner partout, mais il est un peu plus cher à l’acquisition et demande un peu plus d’attention pour l’entretien.
Ces modèles disposent en général d’un réservoir à eau amovible, ou d’une petite gaine d’évacuation de l’eau, pouvant être reliée (ou non) à l’évacuation d’eau du logement. L’eau contenue dans les vêtements est évaporée par la chaleur du sèche-linge, puis à nouveau transformée en eau pour être évacuée. De ce fait, vous n’avez que l’eau à évacuer (via tuyau ou bac), et le sèche linge peut être installé sans souci dans une salle de bain, une cuisine ou encore un sous-sol.
La majorité des sèche-linge à condensation sont en classe énergétique C, soit une consommation électrique annuelle d’environ 450 à 700Kwh/an, soit un peu moins d’une centaine d’euros par an.

Un peu à part, le sèche-linge avec pompe à chaleur est un modèle à condensation, doté d’une pompe à chaleur permettant de réduire de manière importante la consommation d’électricité. Vendu à partir de 400€ hors promotion pour une capacité de 7 Kg, ne nécessite pas d’installation spécifique. Comme le sèche-linge à condensation (ils font partie de la même famille) il peut fonctionner partout, mais il est un plus cher à l’acquisition et demande un peu plus d’attention pour l’entretien.
Ces modèles disposent en général d’un réservoir à eau amovible, ou d’une petite gaine d’évacuation de l’eau, pouvant être reliée (ou non) à l’évacuation d’eau du logement. L’eau contenue dans les vêtements est évaporée par la chaleur du sèche-linge, puis à nouveau transformée en eau pour être évacuée, mais également chauffée pour sécher le linge. Vous n’avez qu’un peu d’eau à évacuer (via tuyau ou bac), et le sèche linge peut être installé sans souci dans toutes les pièces de la maison (une salle de bain, une cuisine ou encore un sous-sol).
La majorité des sèche-linge à condensation avec pompe à chaleur sont en classe énergétique A+ ou A++, soit une consommation électrique annuelle d’environ 200 à 300Kwh/an, soit un peu moins de 50 euros par an.
